Dear Parents and Families,

I am thrilled to welcome you back to a new and exciting school year at Jacquelyn Y. Kelley Discovery Charter School! I am also excited to begin my second year with you all as CEO. As we embark on this journey together, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your continued trust and partnership in your child’s education.

Our dedicated team has been working diligently over the summer to prepare for an outstanding year filled with growth, learning, and meaningful experiences. We are excited to continue building a nurturing and engaging environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.

This year, we have several new initiatives planned that we believe will inspire and challenge our students. Those initiatives will also provide more support to families and stakeholders. Let’s welcome the new members of the administrative team who will assist with implementation of the initiatives: Mrs. Tiara Jackson (Interim Director of Education for grades K-5), Mrs. Marcella Greaves (Director of Education for grades 6-8), and Mr. Lewis Thomas (Director of Climate and Culture). They, along with our veteran administration and leadership team members, teachers, and other staff members, will continue to support our school’s commitment to fostering a community that encourages curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and expeditionary learning. We look forward to seeing our students shine in every aspect of their school life.
